One of my new favs….
I don’t know about some of you but I am always looking for new receipes for things to cook. I just love it when people share their recipes with me so I thought I would share one of mine. I just came across this recipe the other day in my cookbook and I tried it and Phillip and I love it. Just thought I would share…..let me know if you try and what you thought about it!
SESAME GREEN BEANS:
3/4 lb fresh green beans
1/2 cup water
1T butter or margarine
1T soy sauce
2tsp sesame seeds toasted
In a saucepan, bring beans and water to a boil;reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook for 10-15 minutes (we cook ours for only like 3-5 minutes because we like ours crunchy) or until beans are crisp-tender;drain. Add butter, soy sauce and sesame seeds;toss to coat. Makes 6 1/2 cup servings. The great thing about this recipe too is that it is quite healthy..I even use low fat butter in mine. ENJOY!

Redecorating
Well today was a wonderful day. Phillip and I have been talking about changing up the decorations in our bedroom for quite some time now and today we finally changed things up. We bought an extra comforter set when we first got married…I know that soundsĀ little crazy but it was on really good sale and I loved it and thought that hey, one day I would definitely want to use it….so our old comforter was not in terrible shape but we were sort of ready for an upate so we thought, why not. So this weekend Phillip took me to Concord to shop for a few decorations to go with the comforter that would update our bedroom a little. I must say we found some excellent deals which was great because we were determined to stick to a budget of the money we had made off of a yard sale. (We are currently starting Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey and I definitely recommend it) Anyways, so we started most of the decorating today and are halfway through the transition. There are a few more things I want to add to accent the room but for the most part you can get an idea of where we are going with it from looking at this picture. Thought I would share with everyone. Let me know what you think!
