Red Lobster

So tomorrow night Phillip is going to take me to one of my favorite restaurants for our Anniversary and as you can tell from the title of this post, that would be Red Lobster. I am so excited because I love crab legs and because they are so expensive I never get them except for special occasions such as this and even more so i love their cheese biscuits at Red Lobster. If you have never been to Red Lobster I highly recommend it and if my word doesn’t convince you maybe this will…..

Good Sunday

Sundays are one of my favorite days of the week. Yesterday was a great one. We went to church at North Albemarle and I was just really challenged by Brad’s sermon on Spiritual Gifts. Then Phillip and I came home for a nice, simple lunch together here at home and watched a movie together. Then we had some friends of ours, Torrey and Tiffany, come over later that night for dinner and we just hung out after dinner drinking coffee and eating apple pie. We stayed up talking til about midnight but just had a blast catching up. They have been so busy with camps, VBS, etc we haven’t really had time lately to hang out so it was nice to just catch up. We are leaving Sunday with them to go on a mission trip to Mississippi and I am really pumped about it. We are going to be doing a lot of ministering to the kids that were affected my flooding and I’m really excited about the doors God will be preparing for us as we go down there. This week is going to be a great week full of training at the bookstore, Phillip teaching at First Assembly, celebrating our 3rd year anniversary, packing and washing for the trip, getting my license renewed, etc. Overall a busy yet great week. Hope everyone has a wonderful week!

Weddings!

Today was an extremely busy day for us. We had a yard sale all day long which went great and then we rushed home to get ready for a wedding. Tonight I went to see a best friend of mine when we were growing up get married. She is just one of those amazing friends that even if we don’t talk for a while then pick up the phone and call each other, we can talk and catch up as if we never parted. We just always pick up right where we left off and I always feel close to her even if its been a while since we talked. That’s when you know you have a true friendship when there are just no expectations of one another, you just love each other, and care for one another and even though you live busy separate lives, you can still try to pick up when you get a chance and you still remain close. I love her dearly! Leslie Mauldin Long is her now new name and the wedding was beautiful. We had dinner, dancing, and just enjoyed celebrating with one another. I even got to spend some awesome time with my Erica and David and Olivia and we took Olivia out for her first dances on the dance floor. She did great! I just love going back to weddings because it just allows Phillip and I to just reminisce on our special day and just bask in how much we love one another and just love sharing special days such as these with people. It really gets me to thinking about our day and just how wonderful it was and just the blessings of being married. So with all that sappy, mushy, gooey, stuff said, make sure that you always tell your loved ones(husband, wife, parents, family, etc) just how much they mean to you and how much you love them because we are blessed to have each of them in our lives. Have a great night everyone!

Upcoming Events….

Here are a few things that are coming up and I’m super exited:

*Next Wednesday Phillip and I will be celebrating our 3rd year anniversary…not sure what we are doing that day exactly but I know it will be spending time with my wonderful husband who I love very much

*Next Wednesday Phillip will also be speaking at First Assembly for the youth and Paul will be leading worship..I am definitely pumped about that one.

*Next Sunday we will be leaving for Mississippi for a mission trip with North Albemarle’s youth group. Man I am really looking forward to serving with those guys and helping out Torrey and Tiffany.

*While we are in Mississippi I will be celebrating my 25th birthday….man does time fly!

*When we return from the mission trip we will have about one week until we will be leaving for the beach with some dear friends of ours, Becca and Clint Spicer. We got such a great deal for a week at the beach place from some people that were connected to Becca and Clint. God really blessed us in this areas because we really didn’t think we would have the money to go away and rest a bit somewhere this summer but once again, God proves to be so faithful and He really blessed us with an inexpensive place to go with some dear friends, cook, and have a nice fun, yet affordable vacation. CAN’T WAIT!

*Also in July we will be celebrating my mom’s birthday..I have the world’s greatest mother…LOVE YOU!

*Also in July, a girl we all met in Scotland last year has been keeping in great contact with Abby and Whit and she is planning to come down and visit us for a few days…She was an amazing young girl who was touched by the Lord and we are just so blessed to have her in our lives.

*We are also continuing to schedule meetings with pastors for Phillip and Paul to share their vision of 704 and we are getting scheduled times to go and share with their congregations so I’m excited to see what comes our of those. We have been to a few churches and were just blessed with those opportunities and we look forward to many more.

I know there are more things to come but thats all I can think of to share right now….I’ll keep you posted!:-)

Do I dare….?

So yeah, I decided to finally enter the world of blogging. I must say that I hesitated because I wasn’t sure I could really keep up with it like I should but after much encouragement from my husband and several friends (i.e. Aimee Hughes) who live quite a distance from me, I decided it would be fun to try and an easy way for friends to keep up with me and me them. SO……..without further delay, HERE I GO!!!!!
